[JW Plastic Surgery Korea] Rhinoplasty consultation in JW

Hello! Many people get a nose job these days, right? I was always worried about my flat nose. So I tried to find a good plastic surgery, and thanks to my friend’s recommendation, I could get counseling at JW Plastic Surgery. JW Plastic Surgery was already well known for rhinoplasty. And it was also well known for nose reoperation. I checked other surgeries too, but first I made a reservation and visited JW Plastic Surgery because it was really famous. I paid a visit with my friend, not wanting to be alone. We took the subway and arrived there soon. If you get out of the third exit of Apgujeong Station, third line, and go straight, you can see a bright building It says JW Plastic Surgery. When we got in there, I felt the interior was really neat and beautiful. My friend who had got counseling many times before also said JW Plastic Surgery felt the most gorgeous. It was really nice because the inside was so large and bright. The restroom was luxurlous too.
When customers move up to get counseling, they get a piece of paper to write down basic information and the part to get an advice about, and I checked on the nose and wrote down some basic information of mine, because I went there to get counseling about my nose.
The hospital director was really kind to me and had a good impression too. I could trust him because he listened to me carefully and explained many things to me sincerely. Because of my flat nose, he recommended rhinoplasty. Rhinoplasty is a nose operation to raise the bridge or the tip of the nose by using autogenous tissues or materials that fit for the body, keeping the overall balance.

I got counseling with the head officer right after the hospital director, and he said rhinoplasty is not just for raising the nose, but correcting height of the nose considering the overall shape of the face. I asked him many things and he explained to me in detail too, so I appreciated it. They also showed me many comparative pictures of a nose job, and so I could learn many things. After I got counseling with the hospital director and the head officer, I thought I would get a nose job here.



The hospital director has much experience and JW Plastic Surgery is well known for rhinoplasty, so I could learn why many people find JW Plastic Surgery after I got counseling. I visited other surgeries for counseling too, but I think JW Plastic Surgery is the best.
After I got counseling here, I have thought about it for few days and made a reservation for the operation. My friend has got counseling many times too, and she also said she liked JW Plastic Surgery most.
I still have some time, and I think I have to get my heart ready. If you still can’t make up your mind about getting a nose job, try getting counseling at JW Plastic Surgery.

Hello~

I’m going to post this with a pride since JW Plastic Surgery Korea I look so much younger than before. I’m pretty sure not that many people looks young like I do.

[Lesson 2] How to take care after the Rhinoplasty(Nose Job) by JW Plastic Surgery Korea

This information is about how to take care after the Rhinoplasty(Nose Job) from
JW Plastic Surgery Korea



  • Have someone drive you home after surgery and help you at home for 1-2 days.
  • Get plenty of rest after rhinoplasty.
  • Take pain medication as prescribed from JW Plastic Surgery Korea after Rhinoplasty(Nose Job).
    Do not take aspirin or any products containing aspirin unless approved by your surgeon.
  • Do not drink alcohol when taking pain medications after Rhinoplasty.
  • Even when not taking pain medications, no alcohol for 3 weeks as it causes fluid retention.
  • If you are taking vitamins with iron, resume these as tolerated.
  • Do not smoke, as smoking delays healing and increases the risk of complications.

Activities

  • Start to walk as soon as possible after the rhinoplasty,
    this helps to reduce swelling and lowers the chance of blood clots. (But do not run or do any kinds of hard exercise)
  • Do not drive until you are no longer taking any pain medications (narcotics).
  • You can Return to work in 1-2 weeks after the Rhinoplasty(Nose Job)
  • Avoid strenuous activities or any activity that increases your blood pressure for 2-3 weeks.
  • Avoid body contact sports, hitting or rubbing your nose, and sunburn for 2 months after the Rhinoplasty(Nose Job).

Incision Care

  • Avoid exposing scars to sun for at least 12 months.
  • Always use a strong sunblock, if sun exposure is unavoidable (SPF 30 or greater).
  • Keep steri-strips on.
  • Keep incisions clean and inspect daily for signs of infection.
  • Stay in bed with your head elevated (except for going to the bathroom) for the first day.
  • Cold compresses will reduce swelling.
  • Do not shampoo your hair until nose splint is removed, or ask for special instructions (We shampoo your hair from JW Plastic Surgery Korea after the Rhinoplasty(Nose Job) when you come in for Treatments
  • Avoid blowing your nose for 1 week after the Rhinoplasty(Nose Job).
  • Be gentle when washing your face and hair or using cosmetics (No Pressures!).
  • Do not use facial make-up on external incisions until advised by surgeon.
  • Contact lenses can be worn as soon as you feel like it, but glasses cannot be worn until your nose is completely healed (approximately 2 months). After your nose splint is removed, tape your glasses to your forehead or prop them on your cheeks until completely healed.

What To Expect

  • You may be up and about in 2 days, but it will be several weeks before you are entirely up to speed.
  • Feeling depressed is normal.
  • After surgery, particularly during the first 24 hours, your face will feel puffy.
  • A small amount of bleeding is common during the first few days.
  • A splint is applied immediately after surgery for 7 days. Nasal packs may also be used.
  • Minimal postoperative pain.
  • Your nose may ache and you may have a dull headache.
  • Temporary swelling and bruising around eyes and nose will increase at first and peak after 2 or 3 days. Most swelling and bruising should disappear within 2 weeks. Some subtle swelling (noticeable only to you) will remain for several months.
  • Healing is a slow and gradual process.
  • Some numbness may be present around the operative areas.
  • Black eyes and swollen nose and eyelids for 7-14 days.
  • You may experience some discomfort with breathing.
  • Swollen nasal tissues may cause nose to seem "stuffed up" for several weeks.

Appearance

  • New nose looks better in 2-3 weeks and usually continues to improve for many months.
  • Nasal tip drops to its permanent position in 3-6 months.
  • Final results may not be apparent for a year or more.

Follow-Up Care

  • If you have nasal packing, it will be removed after a few days.
  • If nostrils are narrowed, sutures are removed in 3 days. All other sutures either dissolve or are removed within 14 days.
  • Frequent follow-up visits should be scheduled.

When To Call

  • If you have increased swelling or bruising.
  • If swelling and redness persist after a few days.
  • If you have increased redness along the incision.
  • If you have severe or increased pain not relieved by medication.
  • If you have any side effects to medications; such as, rash, nausea, headache, vomiting.
  • If you have an oral temperature over 100.4 degrees.
  • If you have any yellowish or greenish drainage from the incisions or notice a foul odor.
  • If you have bleeding from the incisions that is difficult to control with light pressure.
  • If you have loss of feeling or motion.
  • If you have a nosebleed or any unusual symptoms.
